from what i know is that it was always a caldor might have been resued for maby a flea market or something its still vacant too

It was used by Bradlees shortly after Caldor closed. It appears as a location on their store locator in 2000.

i believe the live maps are only a year old because  i saw my hs on mine and they had the new building they just added so i think its pretty much up to date

very cool.  i love old pics like that.   plus, that's an OLD caldor sign.  I didn't even have caldors by me in 1975.  I don't think i saw a caldor till like 1981.

woodbury heights and if a cop car saw me do this would they have brought me in the police station and what would he have done? (Well this vacant CAldor is a rare thing to see), the vacant building was not gated off. I wonder if a cop would have even noticed though I took this pic at 6 am! and would have noticed my car parked at the bank next to this vacant place?

Cops are mostly cool if you leave right away and explain its for a personal website. Whoa, that logo is old and NJ doesnt motovate and knock down buidlings ...which is good..... :)   SO TELL ME WHEN YOUR IN NJ NEXT TIME hahahaha

Wow, Dan excellent find! Why do you think it's going to be knocked down soon? Was there a realtor sign hinting at what it might become? I want to go see it myself.

Also, this Caldor was a Woolco.

I found it on Google Maps; it's just south of Camden near the Jersey Pike on Moore St & Mantua Pike / Rt. 45.

Don't be so worried about taking pictures. I've taken a ton and in many different settings vacant and alive. I have never had any trouble with police in that instance. Most of the time, they may question you, but won't do anything beyond that.

You might be thinking of the one in Cinnaminson, NJ at the former Cinnaminson Mall. That one is gone. There are no more vacant Caldor stores in Delaware according to a few natives.

must have became a bj's not to long ago i think theres anoutehr one in Hamilton NJ and Ledgewood nj and there a vacant one in Flushing ny middletown and theres one in Pelham Manor that became a kamrt brefley but it's been vacant since 2001

its kinda sad that alot of there locations were takeing soooo quckley there becomming hard to find when you look back at how many locations were vacant back in like 2003 2004

The "Ledgewood" store is not vacant. It's actually in Succasunna at the Roxbury Mall and became Kohl's many years ago.

This store had the rainbow out front as late as the mid 90's with the brown stripes around the inside of the store and brown welcome rug with rainbow logo.
