Can you take a picture of it? Its rare to see a McDonald's closed up.

Pulled into the parking lot today. There were 2 cars in the lot and a guy doing measuring by where the drive-thru lane was. I high-tailed it out of there.

Yes, there is one near/outside of Indianapolis Indiana on the way to Louisville KY.  I like the retro look of the old time McDonalds of the past.  I have attached a picture of the original look that the new one is based off of.

Here is a color shot of the older looking McDonalds from the 1950's

AmesNewington

There is a Retro McDonald's on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, CT, which re-opened in January, 2007. Previously it was an old brick and mortar McD's that I believe was built in 1969. I went there many times as a kid. I think the Newington McD's is the only retro store in CT at the moment. I may be wrong, but I can't recall news of any newer ones opening in the state.

wwefan101

yea the one in worcster u  has  a  dining room and  a double drive up an a fake fire placee

kendra

There's one in Brewer, Maine.

I also saw a "Solid Gold" McDonald's when I was in Wisconsin recently, which was new to me.

There's a new throwback "retro" one on Newtown Rd. in Danbury right across from Stop & Shop. I believe it was built before the new/retro Newington one.

On the Northside of Indianapolis by Castelton Square mall they built this style

Former West Street McDonald's Southington/Bristol town line directly across the street from the ESPN Campus. Restaurant closed down right before XMAS 08. Recently they covered up everything and painted it white. They also blocked access to the porperty with concrete blocks so I drove down a small unpaved road next to the site to snatch this pic. There's a For lease Sign with a phone number and mentioning 4900 Sq. Feet. The owner of this property must also own the empty lot next to the former restaurant as the empty lot had the same For Lease Sign and phone number.

It's "McCafe", not "McCaffa". Learn to use proper grammar.

In Downtown Niantic CT, they closed down their McDonalds, demolished it and built a branch for The Charter Oak Bank.

East Lyme's building an incredibly huge McDonalds across the parking lot from their original McDonalds, I hear they might put in McCafe' too.

Has anyone seen the new McDonald's commercial for the Fillet o Fish? I think it's one of the weirdest commercials I've seen in a long time. I also just found it on YOU TUBE.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD64OhbG4ps

There's also 2 versions of this commercial. One features 2 Fillet O Fish for $3.33. (That's the one that's airing in my area). The other is for the Value Meal for $3.99

Yeah, it's pretty bizarre! I actually saw it on television yesterday.

It did make me laugh though, unlike those Burger King commercials with the creepy plastic King getting in bed with people and whatnot, which just filled me with terror. :insane:

Here's a picture of McDonalds in Newington, NH.  It has a set of old school arches on the street sign. The Manchester, NH location on South Willow Street had the same type of sign. The only difference was when the drive thru was added to the Manchester location they made it so you had to drive bellow the giant arched street sign!!
Sadly the entire restaurant and sign was torn down for a newer modern golden arched structure.
There is a lot in store for you where clean, fresh and good make a GRAND UNION.

Another view of that Newington location:
