Evansville Indiana.  This location saw a short life (2 years) as a test "McDiner".  Appearently it didnt go over well as it has been transformed back into a regular McDonalds.  Guess you could call the concept a McStake!  :insane::insane:

I think they got their priorities Mced Up!!. BTW, what was the McDiner like??

HoJofan206

The food was actually pretty good.  They had sit down dinners like Meatloaf and mashed potatoes.  You would sit down at a table and order your food from a red phone hung on the wall.  The concept was a bit strange and as we all know, went away.  They changed at least 6 or 7 locations to McDiners here in the tri-state and all have been changed back.  A lot of money was wasted as the locations were shut down for a period of time to transform them into sit down eateries, only to be shut down and changed back.  :warning:

Here's the McDonalds on Elm Street in Enfield, CT. This store is old and plenty deteriorating. There are even drapes on some of the windows!

McDonalds; Enfield, CT. The sign is burnt out from behind and around it is quite nasty looking.

You should see the interior of the one on the property of the Bristol Centre Mall in Bristol, Connecticut.

Here's some shots of the newly remodeled McDonald's on Queen Street in Southington, CT. Their interiors are really, pardon the pun, shaping up... Years of ugliness has paid off (especially this store).

Newly remodeled McDonald's on Queen Street in Southington, CT. This rivals one in Torrington, CT with its brand of funk (also recently remodeled).

I can tell you they are going to tear down the oldest mcdonalds in my city next week, and rebuild it within a few months. There's going to be an auction, and I may attend, because I need some shelving.

The nasty Enfield (Elm Street) location has been completely demolished. The owners are in the midst of building a brand-new store. As we speak, it's currently an empty lot. When I was coming home last week from my Syracuse trip, the building was being torn down.

The one on Hazard Avenue on the otherside of the mall is another oldie with a brown shingled roof!

No pictures of either, sorry!

Found these photos from a local news site:

It opens Monday, and I'll be their first thing in the morning. :D

There is now an electric sign not pictured there.
