Here is the main entrance to the store. The metal rods which held the sign in place were put up several years ago to replace the wooden posts that were there before. At that time, the posts and background that the Ames logo was on were all made of wood. They were hit by lightning one day and the posts collapsed, sending the sign crashing through the roof.
