the new harbor mall in fall river mass is on marino bishop blvd near the rhode island state line and off Rt. 24. the mall has 20 stores and is 275,000 sf. the mall opened in 1971 with 100,000 sf bradlees and a 108,000 sf Grants. Grants closed in 1976 and in 1976 it became Kmart. the mall is dingy, it has a cinema, dots, fashion bug, payless shoe soruce. outside the mall was a 31,000 sf stop and shop that moved across the street in the mid-late 1980s and the old stop and shop became staples and dollar tree in the 1990s. Bradlees closed in early 2001 and became wal-mart in 2001. wal-mart and k-mart anchor the same mall, but kmart survives.
