I don't know if anyone is familiar with Hot N Now, a burger joint that was really cheap.  I don't know how far they existed, but there were a slew of them in central Pennsylvania.

Here's what's left of the Hot N Now in Hanover, PA:

We had them out here in California -- in fact, this area was the first expansion market for them after Taco Bell bought them. They all closed down about 10 years ago. Most of them became Rally's, but some are other uses like a drive-thru only Domino's Pizza, coffee places and one is still sitting vacant.

It seems there's only 14 or so locations left in Michigan (The name and everything is owned by a company, but they don't seem to be expanding, or even advertising it)

They were owned by PepsiCo in they early 90's, but were dropped (probably beause PepsiCo bought A&W and didnt need the two burger chains)

I believe Michigan was where they originated from, IIRC. They probably are just down to what they were before Taco Bell bought them out...

Ha! I remember these from my time living in Michigan.
There were quite a few of them around, particularly in the western part of the state.

I will never forget their awful, cheesy singing TV commercial.

I don't want no paper crown!
I don't want no plastic clown!
I want
QWWWWAAAAAAAAALITY
at Hot N' Now!

::)

They are long gone.  I think they might have been acquired by
Rally's before being closed down.

They only have three locations left:

*Bay City, Michigan
*Sturgis, Michigan
*Marshfield, Wisconsin

^I thought the Hot 'N Now went out of business in the mid-1990s. I don't remember Hot 'N now until I found this thread and saw some commercial for the alleged defunct restaurant chain!

If I am correct the only location still left is the one in Sturgis, Michigan but I could be wrong. Also here's a video I took of the outside of the abandoned Hanover, pa location.

Still hanging in there in Michigan, eh?

Though my preference for burgers would be Haloburger out of the Flint area.

The Marshfield, Wisconsin Hot 'n Now closed in 2012. It was one of the few locations that used the old logo.
Here's a YouTube video of the place:

Their was a Hot N Now in York Pa that is now open as Gyro Express weird thing is taco bell put their sign up in front of the building even though taco bell is located in a lot next to the place. I rode by this place the other day but didn't have the chance to take pictures of it I'll have to do it the next time I'm up that way.
