CFO of troubled Bed, Bath and Beyond chain commits suicide

The Chief Financial Officer of badly struggling chain Bed, Bath and Beyond committed suicide over the holiday weekend by jumping from a window of an apartment building in New York City.

This would lead one to believe that the situation there is much worse than just your typical overextended failing chain.  A truly awful story.  My grandmother used to tell me stories about the Depression where apparently stuff like this occurred quite often.
