Ro jacks grocery store

Ro jacks was a grocery store that had stores a few stores in RI & MA and went out of business in the early 2000s.

They closed sometime in the early 2000's.

Looks like the assets were transferred to Supervalu in lieu of payments they were owed and at some point they were still operating the stores (around 2001), per an article that came up with a search on the name.

Not sure if they eventually got transitioned to another name (since a few years later on Supervalu wound up buying many of the Albertson's brands (which also owned Shaw's in those areas) or if they just sold the stores to others to run or none of the above.

supposedly they became seabra foods but I can't find anything proving this other than most ro jacks stores becoming seabra stores

Ro jacks was one of those stores who thrive off of using building from other closed retailer. They did the same thing that job lot, big lots & building 19 did but ro jacks was the only grocery store that I know of that did that other than price rite.

A lot of ro jacks used to be edwards grocery stores
