Scrolling through some local news coverage of what stores here in Pittsburgh will or won't be open on Thanksgiving.

Stores that will NOT be open on Thanksgiving Day include:

Barnes & Noble
Bath and Body Works
Burlington
Costco
Home Depot
IKEA
Lowes
JoAnn Fabrics
Marshalls
Office Depot/Office Max
Stein Mart

All other notable retailers are open at least part of the day, with many opening at 5 or 6PM.

Here's the interesting part:  There is a split amongst the malls in terms of who is open and who's not.

The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon, Monroeville Mall and Westmoreland Mall will be closed.
The Mall at Robinson, Tanger Outlets, and South Hills Village are open.  Some of the chains
that are open will have locations closed at those malls which will be closed.

BJ's and our competitor Sam's Club will be closed.

All the TJX chains - TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Homesense, Sierra, and as you already mentioned Marshall's will be closed.

ShopRite of Southington, CT will be closed after experimenting with being open last year.

As are most of the NY Shop Rite stores - Those in the Albany Market and anything covered by the ad that lists Montague (NJ) and NY Counties of Westchester, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan and Columbia EXCEPT the Tuckahoe Road  and Greenway Plaza Yonkers (both open 8-6).
