PNC is pretty much the 800lb. banking gorilla here in Pittsburgh.
At least since BNY Mellon decided to scale back on their consumer banking operations.
They are the descendant of the old Pittsburgh National Bank.

I was talking with a friend the other day.  He and his wife have an account at PNC.
They got a voice mail at their home which said "This is Sharon calling from the Century III
office of PNC Bank.  It is very important that I speak with you.  Please call me at 412..."

As they did have an account at the Century III branch his wife called back, thinking that
they must have detected an attempted fraud on their debit card or something.  When
Sharon picked-up she tried to sell them some investment an annuity products.

Really, really lowball slime marketing tactics at work there.  Panicking people into thinking
some cybercriminal just racked up a big debit on their account, only to get them to call back
so they can make a sales pitch.  My friend says he is closing his PNC account as a result of this.
