MLB to play on Field of Dreams

The Field of Dreams, the baseball diamond in an Iowa cornfield made famous in the
1989 movie of the same name, will host an actual big-league ballgame next summer.

A temporary ballpark seating 8000 will be built around the field.  The game, which will
be nationally televised on FOX, will be between the Yankees and White Sox.

In the movie Shoeless Joe Jackson and his White Sox teammates, who were banned
for participating in the 1919 World Series rigging scandal, are the ones who return
to practice on the field.
