Ellio's Frozen Pizza

This is different than most frozen pizza that you buy because it does not come as a whole pie.
Rather it comes as 9 squares (3 rectangular pieces that you have to divide actually ) packed into
a box around 10 inches long by 4 inches deep.  My guess is the original concept was to minimize
the amount of space they would take up in your freezer.

I tried some recently.  I liked the fact that they had more sauce than you typically
find on frozen pizzas these days.  But they were lite on the cheese.  And unless you are buying
these on sale you aren't really getting a lot of food for your money once you start to calculate
the total surface area.

We had a local brand in Pittsburgh that used to come in the same kind of package (Tambellini's).
I have not seen it in many years though.

Ellio's is like tomato sauce spread on cardboard. Actually most frozen pizza is like that to me. I like the cheese and pepperoni flavor Stop and Shop/Giant brand pizza. Next time I buy one I will post a picture.

About the only good thin crust frozen pizza I've ever had was Mystic.

Seriously they do me dirty all the time but I love the taste of them going in.
