Century III Mall in Pittsburgh sheriff's sale postponed again

Very sad picture.  I used to live nearby.
It was a bustling, fun place back in the day.

I do agree that it was way better back in the old days when there was stores inside that we're actually open. Some people on this forum would like to blame Walmart coming into the area (Around the early to mid 1990's) for Century III Mall's downfall but that had actually started around the turn of the century which was caused by the The Waterfront near Homestead being built, A major renovation being done at South Hills Village, The early 2000's economic problems. Target was establishing itself into the area around this time too.

The Sheriff's Sale has been postponed again.  This time till Dec. 3.

Apparently the owners, Moonbeam Capital Partners, have filed for bankruptcy.
If true that could actually delay any sale indefinitely.
