I am discovering that Sears can't even figure out how to go out of business properly.

My local Sears store is in South Hills Village.  Initially when this latest round of closings rolled out there was mass confusion as some coverage claimed they were closing the store, while other articles insisted that just the auto center was closing.

Well, the store has begun it's Going Out of Business Sale.  And up at the front entrance, right next to
the banner promoting all of the closeout bargains, is a large NOW HIRING sign!

They still need workers to finish out the store's liquidation, especially to replace those that may have already jumped ship.  If someone needs temp work for a couple of months, then hey...

Usually the liquidator handles that.   Generally the entire store inventory is sold to a liquidator
for X cents on the dollar who comes in and runs the going-out-of-business sale.  Generally they also
incentivize employees to stay through the end by offering bonuses.   The whole process normally takes
a matter of weeks, not months.

I know.  I have been through 4 retail bankruptcies so I know the drill.

Well the day that my last local Sears store put out the GOOB signs I got absolutely
BOMBARDED with texts and emails begging me to shop the Kmart that's still open
a few miles away.

So apparently they plan to continue the drama for awhile longer.

how much longer ya give it? Now more Sears are closing and many states few left in malls and many states 2 or 3 Kmarts left  and total stores as many as Toys r us had when filing for bankruptcy to where they should close their doors and move on.
