There were nasty storms in Connecticut today. They started moving in at 2:30PM. There were a total of 7 Tornado Warnings. There was at least one confirmed tornado in Connecticut. These photos were taking at 5PM as the storm was moving into Southington. My area wasn't hit too badly. Other parts of the state got clobbered.

Some fairly strong sections in NY state as well, before they moved into CT.  Primarily along the borders of Greene/Ulster, then across the Hudson River the border of Columbia/Dutchess counties.

Not sure that any official tornados were noted, but there was a lot of strong winds and large hail (enough to break several vehicle windshields/back windows, at least one of which was just a parked vehicle and not moving).

As of yesterday the National Weather Service confirmed Connecticut got four tornadoes on Tuesday along with a microburst and a macroburst. Four tornadoes in a state that averages about two per year.
