Six Flags New England is located in Agawam, Massachusetts. Many changes have been made since Six Flags bought the one time Riverside Park. I went once for a school trip when it was still Riverside in 8th Grade back in '96.

Six Flags New England is home of the first Gerstlauer spinning coaster in the Six Flags chain with the name "Pandemonium".

Speaking of rides, some of Six Flags New England's other rides include, Goliath (relocated from Six Flags Magic Mountain where it was known as "DeJa Vu"), Mind Eraser, Superman: The Ride (formerly known as "Bizarro" and "Superman: Ride of Steel") and many more.

I miss Riverside...I especially miss the old Riverside Raceway...

Six Flags should have kept the Riverside name as "Six Flags Riverside" instead of renaming it "Six Flags New England", but Six Flags sure likes to name parks "Six Flags (insert city, region, or country here)" depending on location.

They kept the name The Great Escape for their park in Lake George, NY.

I believe that has something to do with park size.  There is at least one other (La Ronde in Montreal) that does not use the Six Flags name either, and I think there were a couple others at one point (either closed now or sold to others).

Darien Lake in Darien Center, NY was a Six Flags park. Luckily Six Flags kept the "Darien Lake" name for it, but added the "Six Flags" name to it instead of renaming it "Six Flags Buffalo" or "Six Flags New York".

The "Pandemonium" name is used for the former "Tony Hawk's Big Spin" roller coasters at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Six Flags St. Louis, and Six Flags Over Texas after Six Flags lost the rights to use Tony Hawk.

When's the last time everyone rode the mind eraser?  I used to ride it a ton when i was in middle school but man it's such a rough ride if you go on it now you are guaranteed a headache.  Did it used to be smoother?

Six Flags kept the Great America name when acquiring Mariott's Great America in Gurnee, Illinois (outside Chicago).

Another Marriott's Great America, located in Santa Clara, California (outside San Francisco), was sold to Kings Entertainment Company, owner of Kings Island. The Santa Clara park was later known as Paramount's Great America under Paramount Parks ownership, and when Cedar Fair acquired the park, they renamed it Great America, before finally renaming it again to California's Great America.
