Discount retailer Xpect Discounts will be closing its remaining Connecticut locations within 12 months.

I'm not surprised. There wasn't many left in Connecticut anyway. Plus, they eliminated the pharmacies. The Cromwell store (the only one I've been in) is very old and outdated. They had a great assortment of overstock items, things you wouldn't find elsewhere. They also had nice flowers in the summer. I just never felt comfortable with buying food/produce there. I hope Kmart next door in Cromwell doesn't follow them and close this year. Hopefully, something will replace it.

The Cromwell Xpect is always quite busy. I personally have never set foot into the store,  but I have a couple of customers in the plaza and that parking lot is always busy. That's a shame.
