My part of Connecticut got a little bit of snow on the grass the other night, but other parts got a couple inches and had to bring the plows out. Overnite tonite we're gonna get a little snow changing to sleet to plain rain by mid morning.

We got a few inches of snow last weekend. But today it has just been very windy and raining. I don't mind snow, as long the roads are in good shape. For some reason, they don't salt some of them as well as others.

That, and you have get back into the routine using the ice scraper, which is not fun.

Hmmmmm....... A photo of Grand Union during a snowfall would be pretty cool. My thoughts go to Tannersville, NY which has been featured a few times on the Grand Union string. It's one of the last modern freestanding stores and it has a green store front sign with the red dot in the letter A.
Of course with my luck going to the Catskills would turn into some sort of CRAZY blizzard and I would probably be lost until the thaw of spring!!

we got around  4  inches of snow then it turned to ice which turned to rain and i still had classes today but im not driving in this weather to them =P

I don't blame you, dude. Here it turned to rain several hours ago, but the roads are still very slick. A few hours ago there were 5 accidents on I-84 between Plainville and New Britain. Exits 33-36. My friend is pissed off because I wouldn't take him to the mall. Sorry, I ain't gonna crash my car just because you want to go to the mall.

We got dustings of snow. The one day we had about an inch, but that's all gone. It's been snowing on and off today, but the little bit that stuck to the road melted before it started up again. It's supposed to be 14 degrees tonight. This is going to suck because I have to leave at 7am, I have a final exam at 8am. Stupid cold and snow. blah

the pictures are beautiful. I just don't want it around here. It WAS 14 this morning like I said they predicted. And my dumb butt wore a hoodie. that's it, just a hoodie. And it wasn't even a thick one. It was one I bought about 3-4 years ago at Target, black velvet with little metal studs on the pockets and along the zipper. now I'm wearing my Snuggie, and the cold that is in my bones is still leaking out...plus my hair was frozen this morning...Anyone up for Tahiti...?

Icy as hell today. OMG. 50 car pile-up in the Naugatuck Valley in the town of Shelton. Roads are icy again tonight. It's about 7 miles from my apartment in Bristol to my best friends house in Plainville and he said it was really bad driving back. I had to call my other friend and cancel our planned Midnite Snack at Dennys.

Today started off great, partly sunny skies that turned dark and grey and then it snowed. The snow became COLD rain that froze all ove the place.
I would prefer that it snow instead of cold icy rain.

As of 2am last night, I could NOT see the street directly in front of my house. We have about 15-18 inches of snow just festering here. The plows FINALLY showed up about 45 minutes ago, but it's too late, my son's school was already closed. I'm really getting sick of this crap. If it's like this on Friday, I won't be able to go to school myself because it takes about 30 minutes to drive there, and if roads are slick, my husband won't let me go, since all I have is crappy tires on the Olds. I see 2 options, a. make the snow go away permanently, b. buy me a car that is able to travel in snow without sliding from one side of the road to the other. Anyone? Anyone? No? well crap...guess I'm stuck inside my house for a few more days.....grr.

If the Old's is in good shape and has front wheel drive, consider 4 new snow tires!!! You can turn it into the all-terrain olds.... Then you just have to watch out for all the other cars on the road.
I had to do that with my car, working in retail, there is no excuse why you can't drive through 18 inches of snow to get to work and wait on 3 customers during a 10 hour shift?!!!!
Oh and those 3 customers are usually other mall employees..... I don't miss working in retail that much!!

lol I definately don't miss working in retail. But, I don't have the money for snow tires right now. All my money is in the gas tank just to get me there and back. And Christmas just wiped us out completely.

Wow. So we got hit with the storm a week before xmas and got 3+ feet, and since then it has basically never stopped snowing. It's still snowing now, and has been stuck in the low teens for about a week.

Worst of all, I messed up my car because of this crap. Going around a turn and started sliding, couldn't stop and hit a hard wall of ice. Cracked my front bumper up pretty good... I've had my fill. I want it to stop now.
