Hey everyone.  If you like Classic TV you'll love The Retro Television Network. Most recently it launched in Boston on WMFP Channel 18.1 (virtually 62.1) in late May 2009 and will be launching in Bridgeport, CT on Channel 42.1 WSAH (virtually 43.1) on July 1, 2009. WSAH is available on COX Digital Channel 75 in Both the Manchester/Newington Areas and The Meriden/Southington Areas. It's also on COMCAST in the Waterbury and Danbury Areas and CHARTER in the Newtown Area. It's also coming to a station in the Bakersfield/LA area too.

It is July 1. I suppose all infomercials until then. I'm angry because I waited for Connecticut to get RTN, and WRNT-48 in Hartford is supposed to have it, but I don't see them on any cable/satellite carriers. I have DISH Network and WSAH is not a part of the local channels. I requested that DISH Network look in to getting a feed of WSAH on channel 43 in the local tier, but I doubt they'll listen. I used to have COX Digital Cable in Newington three years ago, but gave it up for DISH.

Yes. WRNT does carry it, but that station is a technical disaster spending more time off the air than on.

We have Cox digital in Newington....

The Adamantium Elbow

We've had it here in Pittsburgh for quite a while now. They got a lot of great shows I especially like the reruns of Emergency.

Bad news guys. Due to an underwhelming response from advertisers in Boston with Retro TV on WMFP, Retro TV will only be airing 6 hours a day 7 days a week on WSAH in Bridgeprort, CT.

The following was posted on Radio-Info's NYC TV Board by Ron Barnes WSAH's GM:

QuoteIf you want to see more hours, WRITE us at WSAH, 7 Wakeley Street, Seymour CT  06483 or email ronaldb@mtbl.tv (phonecalls mean NOTHING).  If you have trouble with the lineup, please contact RTV at http://myretrotv.com or via their facebook group.

Due to the network's legal troubles with the FCC and technical problems that they can't (won't) fix and legal troubles with their LA affiliate, WSAH (COX 75 in Meriden/Newington) has dropped Retro TV effective October 1st. They will revert to the previous all infomercial format.

Meanwhile COX has added a new channel on DIGITAL CHANNEL 82. It's WGN America the Chicago based super-station. Some program highlights include: Matlock, In the Heat of the Night, Beverly Hillbillies, I Dream of Jeannie/Bewitched, Cheers, and Becker. Other highlights: Select Telecasts of Chicago Sports Teams, a new WWE Show, Bob & Tom, and Chicago News 1PM-2PM and 10PM-11PM Eastern.
