The Philadelphia Inquirer reported yesterday that the Kmarts in EAST NORRITON and EAGLEVILLE in Montgomery County, PA are closing.

Wonder how long the Mayfair Kmart in ne philly will last now that target opened up near by.

The East Norriton one opened 1975 and was next to an Acme [Super Saver] which closed in 2002 and became Big Lots. This store is across from a Wal-Mart that also opened 2002, in a former Bradlees.

I haven't heard anything from my area so far, the one in Latrobe, PA is in the next plaza over from Wal-mart, and still does pretty good business. Probably because from west-east, you have to pass K-mart to get to Wal-mart...who knows. Most of the traffic going there comes from West, in my town.
Jaime...BRADLEES FOREVER!!!

Haven't heard of any CT closings eighter.  I know the one I shop in Cromwell was redesigning the shoe dept.  They seem to do a pretty good business also.
