CVS has just demolished a former Exxon in West Chester, PA which has been abandoned for over seven years. Funding for this project is provided by Susquehanna Bank.

Acme is closing its classic 50's store in Narberth, PA, as well as a store in West Chester. This could possibly be the one in Glen Mills which opened in 2007 on newly paved land.

Office Depot is closing many newer stores, including the ones that opened in 2004 in former Kids R Us stores.

Filene's Basement is closing its store in Springfield, PA, one of few locations in the Philadelphia area. This store and a DSW were built on the site of a demolished Frank's Nursery.
