Has anyone here ever heard of the defunct discount store chain known as Prange Way? They were owned by the H.C. Prange Co. of Sheboygan, Wisconsin and served the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and Minnesota. They went bankrupt in 1995 because of competition from retailers like ShopKo. They started out with a store in the basement of the H.C. Prange Co. dept store in 1911 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, similar to Filene's Basement. From the 1960s until their bankruptcy in 1995, they were a discount department store in the vein of Wal*Mart, Kmart, Target, ShopKo, Jamesway, Ames, Zayre, Hills, Caldor, Korvettes, Bradlees, and Lechmere.
