Kmart in mahopac ny on rt. 6. I GOT to this store just as it was opening at 8 am on July 22 (I was on a 3 day round trip on 84 in Ct and mohegan lake area then). the store looks like it was CAldor

mahopac sign. I bet the store is like 85,000 to 90,000 sq.ft.  it probably opened 6 yeras ago.

Wow, looks like you beat me d_fife. I *just* stumbled upon the Kmart in Watertown today. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere amongst a slew of car dealerships and no-name stores. I was floored when I saw that this was the oldest Kmart I had ever seen.

former super k-mart in amsterdam ny as of may 31, 2006. it closed in 2000 and was 172,000 sq.ft. and an older one existed. it was fenced off.
