SKY CITY stores

Does anyone remember the SKY CITY stores? I think that they were mainly located in western North Carolina. There was one in my hometown and I used to buy 45 rpm records there when I was a kid. I remember that their clothing was usually shabby. I remember seeing new clothing with broken zippers...etc. That was way before Wal-Mart came to our area. I think K-Mart was their demise in my area. The store's building is still standing, but it is now updated and a grocery store. The back of the building looks somewhat the same as it used to. I think it left the scene in the early 80's.

Does anyone have any photos or more info??

    Look at some of the store's that left in 1990s... INCLUDING Sage-Allen!!  :(
