2007 Pontiac G5.  Yet another over-badged product by GM.

GM has been in the news these days, huge drop in sales, possible bankruptcy and so on...  What has to be done?

I know that some are quick to say that GM must kill a few of it's brands.  I once agreed, but my idea would be to steamline the brands:  

>I would keep a full line-up in Chevrolet and Cadillac.  
>I would sell Hummer and Saab.  
>I would kill the GMC brand ans keep the trucks in the Chevy line.(should have been done 20 years ago!)
>Buick, Saturn and Pontiac would become smaller speciality brands with no more than 3 models in each.

Buick: Enclave, Lucerne, LaCrosse
Pontiac: Vibe, G6, G8
Saturn: Astra, Aura, VUE

>All GM dealers should sell the full GM lineup (I'm sure that GM manages the company with pressure from the dealers because some only sell Pontiacs and didn't have a SUV, so GM created the Torrent with a rebadged Equinox. it happened several times with other cars.)

This means, less brands, less cars, less rebadged cars and SUVs.
