The Altoona Curve, AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, just played a series in Hartford against the Yard Goats.  Several games were broadcast on my local RSN and I caught a bit.  That does look like a very nice stadium up in Hartford.

Won't it be kind of hard to use a stalking horse bid to pump up the price when their entire plan has just been published on Yahoo! News?

Maybe it's just me.  That's probably why I never made it into senior management in this biz.

The latest set of carts at the New Hartford, NY location are a set of Bed Bath & Beyond carts, all Rehrig - no Americanas in the fleet. The BB&B logos were filed off, but who is that fooling?

The parent company of the 7-eleven convenience store chain has rejected a $38.6 billion buyout offer from Canada's Couche-Tard calling it "severely undervalued".

Black United with Ann & Hope stickers underneath the OSJL ones. As much as I want to say this was originally from Linens 'n Things, this one has a powder-coated frame while theirs were chromed.

Dollar General shares plummet nearly 25% on revised earnings estimates which drop their same stores sales growth forecast from 2%-2.7% to 1%-1.6%.

Gas Stations / Sheetz enters Michigan market

Altoona, PA-based Sheetz, whose gas station/convenience store/cafe outlets have become a fixture in the western half of PA in recent years, has opened their first store in Michigan.  It's located in Romulus near Detroit Metro Airport.
