It goes like this. I was heading home from a dental filling on 146 Southbound through Woonsocket. There is a terrible ramp to turn onto 146 Northbound, literally feet after the 146/146A merger. The car in front of me obviously missed his turn and came to a near stop, leaving me no choice but to cut the wheel, sending straight into the frozen marsh of grass and ice in the median, and head on into the path of a full size, Ford Econoline van on 146 North. We hit head on at about 50 to 60 mph. I spun around in a 180 stopped facing toward 146 Southbound. The van hit a wooden fence and Insurance Company sign and ended up in the parking lot. We both walked away with no injuries, except a burn on my forearm from airbags, and a sore thumb for him. Sorry to be morbid, but I really thought I was going to die when I saw the van coming northbound, as I was obviously sliding southbound, both travelling at the posted speeds. What I felt when I fell out my door and realized I was stil alive, words can't describe. The car and my seatbelt saved my life, I would not hesitate to buy another.
