This store was not built as an Ames. I first remember it as a Murphy's Mart. It had a tire center when Ames took it over but was run by an outside contractor. Two years before Ames closed the tire center closed and Ames used it for storage.

This building has more sides to it than a normal building. Also more receiving doors than I'm used to.

The store looks great at night because the inside lights are always on and so is the outside sign. I'll have to get some pictures of that. The interior of the store still has shelving, cash registers and Ames signs hanging. Looks like all it needs is merchandise and it could reopen at once.
