Here it is folks. The building that began it all. It began as a factory outlet owned between two brothers before the notion of becoming a national department store chain was even conceived. We were fortunate enough to only live one town over from this sacred plot of land. It is currently home to a Salvation Army, which shows that Ames' caring and generosity to the underserved lives on.
