A crackled, old "Ames Receiving" sign bolted (and re-bolted) to the wall. After the first attempt, I realized it was going to take a little more to strip this off the wall. Two attempts, five minutes, bouts of clanking metal noises, and 11 cents later, the sign came off the wall and into my car. It took first a penny and then a dime to slowly unscrew the rusty keepers which kept it anchored to the wall no more. I stayed nonchalant as the nearby business wasn't alerted. Now it's a prime souvenir which won't meet a landfill anytime soon.
