Here's an interesting story about Diane McKellar who runs the BK in the Portland area since 1977, her struggle with the company and the closing of 3 locations... In the story, we learn that she once had 7 locations, closed three and now has three BK left, so Brighton ave. must have closed shortly before that.

Actually, this was a McDonald's. I ate here in 2003 and when I came back to the area a year or so later, it was shuttered. This area is troubled.

I worked at a BK, for almost three years. It was my first job, it really sucked, but I learned a lot, and a lot of the stuff you hear about people working there is true.

After working in retail and food service for a couple years, a lot of horror can only be experienced if you've worked there including nasty secrets that would make you cease dining there. Let's just say it's like another world behind that counter versus ordering from it.
