I noticed some issues when trying to access the Ames Fan Club Forums.
Because I live in Australia, something in the AFC website is preventing me from accessing it unless I use a VPN connected to a server in the USA.

My account was created in 2022 and I have made countless contributions to the forum, many of which are still works in progress such as my Store Number Spreadsheet and list of locations that had red signs.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this issue so I can keep posting without the need for a VPN?
This forum is the main place where my interest in defunct retail thrives and I'd be heartbroken to lose it.

If needed, I can provide my IP Address via a private message so it can be added to the server's whitelist in order for me to access the site.
It's the same store, only without the J and the Way.   <- Common joke about Jamesway stores that became Ames stores.

Just before the global COVID pandemic struck this site was hit with a MASSIVE SPAM and malware attack.  The number of fake profiles created and fake postings was just off the charts.  It took the site offline completely for some time.

When it came back I had many issues getting my antivirus software to play nice with it.  I'm presuming that bad foreign actors were behind the attack so limiting to some degree the ability of overseas IP addresses to gain access probably had to be done to keep this site off of the blacklists.

Although that happened before I made my account, the amount of time that the site was down made me think it was gone for good. Very happy to see how it's bounced back with almost no traces of the spam attack left on the site.
From The Land Down Under, a huge thanks to Chris and the mod team for keeping the Ames Fan Club online.
