Author Steven King shutting down his 3 radio stations

Horror author Steven King is shutting down the 3 radio stations that he owns in Maine.

King, 77, who has been into radio as a side interest since the early 80's, has reportedly been losing money on these stations for decades, and has reached the point where even with his sizeable income from book residuals things just can't continue.

The stations are slated to shut-down for good on New Years Eve.  However, in a late breaking development it appears that two local businessmen have put in a bid to buy classic rock WKIT, so that one may survive.
