ooof!

What Happened? :o

It looks like a telephone poll landed on it.

You think thats crazy, this guy can lift up a 1991 Ford Escort.

Does anyone know when the Mercury Lynx was dropped from the lineup?  Same with the Tracer?

Lynx was 1981-1990. Tracer was 1987-1990 (non Escort sister car) and 1991-1999 (as sister car). Altogether, 1987-1999.

Do you have a pic of a 87 era Tracer.  I always thought they were always a sister car to the escort.  Was it a combact or hatchback?

It was a sub-compact, two door hatchback or four door hatchback. Heres an 1988. It looks the same as the 87, 89 and 90.

Oh yeah, I remember those cars now that I see a pic of one.  Was that car a Mercury original or was it something Mercury rebadged from across the seas?  Kinda like the 1990's convertible Capri.

It was made by Mazda. Sister car to the Mazda 323. Ford owns Mazda. They bought them in the early 80's.

I wish Mercury would get back to actually producing some cars of their own.  Right now, everything is just a rebadged Ford vehicle.  :(

AWWW THAT SUCKS!!!!!!

Thats why Plymouth went out because all there cars in the 90's were rebadged Dodges or Chryslers and even one a Mitsubishi. Same deal with Eagle. Rebadged Dodges, Chryslers or Mitsubishis.

It will only be a matter of time before Ford cuts Mercury like GM did Oldsmobile.

I wish Ford would bring back a retro version of the original Ford Bronco!!

Please talk about that in the Ford/Mercury/Lincoln thread. This is about Escorts, Lynx and Tracers. But yes I agree with you on the Bronco.

I like the mid-90s Escort, the ones around '91 to '93.
Those EXP cars look like the Mustangs in the mid-80s.
