Albers

Southwest Ohio-area grocery store chain founded by a former Kroger bigwig.  Albers was purchased by Colonial in 1955 and left the Cincinnati market in 1974.

I was surprised to find that one former Albers is still standing and looking quite similar to how it first opened.  This store is located in Florence, KY and is now home to a post office.  As far as I know, the post office moved in shortly after Albers moved out.
