GJSD consultant recommends the closure of Glebe

Something similar happened in 2009 with another Johnstown school, Jansen Ave. Elementary closing. Sixth grade is being moved to Knox (the middle school) while other grades get shuffled between the other two remaining schools (Warren St. and Pleasant Ave.).

If their tax levy really increases nearly 15% for three years in a row
it won't be the last school to close.  People will flee.

To add (for those not local to the area) - this district made substantial cuts this year (even with the close to 15% increase), including the sports programs, after an earlier budget was not passed (with an even larger increase).

They have, however, gotten quite a bit of support through fundraising (including a donation from Dicks) to pay towards the sporting programs.
