There is a woman who goes to my church who is employed part-time by a large grocery chain.
For purposes of this post I do not want to name them.

She was upset with something a manager told her to do that she did not think should be part of her job.  So she logged onto her Twitter account and complained about it.

Two days later she was brought into the office, counseled, and given a warning not to tweet negative information about the company.

Granted, complaining about your boss in a public forum is a pretty stupid thing to do.
But I found it amazing and more than a little chilling that a large retail chain is actually
watching the tweets of their thousands of part-time employees and reacting to any which
they felt were negative about the company.

It sure is a brave new world out there.  :o
