I expect to make my way up there this week. Talk about a dead mall.

Made it today. What a depressing place.

Abandoned Save-A-Lot. This opened as Child World, which closed in '92. Toys-R-Us opened in the space in the same year and closed in 2006. Save-A-Lot kept the TRU entrance signs, which I found interesting.

Boarded up main entrance. I couldn't stop for long as there was a sheriff's deputy patrolling the grounds. There was no obvious way into the mall from what I could see.

Steve and Barry's was once Jenss department store, which closed in 1998.

Bon-Ton, which is on its way out.

The back of the mall. Ignore my wheels.

I think this was the Macy's closeout. It opened as Hens and Kelly, a local chain. The architecture looks similar to other HKs I have seen. If I am correct, it has been abandoned since 1995.

Inside Sears. The mall entrance is completely boarded up.

The mall once had a bus stop, which was built in 1994. No buses run there anymore, obviously.

The back of one storefront. Couldn't see through the windows. The sign says "Treasure Chest Toys" but the labelscar on the door is for an Allstate office. A post I found on another website says that Allstate was in the directory in 1981, but Treasure Chest was not. Might be an original sign from the '70s.

Broken Laux Sporting Goods sign.

Back door of more storefronts, a Radioshack and a store called G and G.

I am going to ask to take this sign with me.

Secondary entrance by Bon-Ton.

Thank you! And yes, the Silver Bullet is a fine ride. It's just obscure enough to be different from other cars on the road, and yet it doesn't stick out when I am technically trespassing on private property.   ;D

Just in case PostImg.org deletes my photos again, I've begun uploading many of them to Flikr.

Here's my album from the trip. I'll upload more soon.
