State of Connecticut halts construction of new Marriott Hotel in Southington

The State of Connecticut has ordered the construction of the new Marriott Hotel in Southington halted due to contractor fraud.

The hotel is part of a development on West Street (State Route 229) that includes a recently opened Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen and a small strip center that includes a nail salon, an orthodontist office, a coffee shop, a pizza place, and possibly a credit union.
