Petitition to Start a new Toy Chain or have someone resurect Toys r us' properties. THERE IS A NEED For this kind of a store and you all saw the heart break this has caused.

What else can be done? and as long as they save over half or all their properties and ressurect them all is ok. When they announced it was bad luck to me as it was officially announced 2 days before my birthday (my birthday is March 16)

OK Toys r us in Concord yesterday tiold me they may be getting bought out. What was the clerk refering too?

Those lucky Europeans!
They have a toy superstore called Smyths. I think Smyths missed out on an opportunity to expand outside Europe to North America with their toy superstore chain concept. Right now, Smyths Toy Superstores is expanding outside UK and Ireland into Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

I think Dan Fife would be thrilled that there's still a toy retailer operating that is similar in many ways to Toys "R" Us still in operation across the pond, based out of Galway, Ireland of all places!

yes but it makes NO SENSE the US wont have a store like this and will be reduced to those DINKY Toy Depts at Walmart .

More good news: KB is coming back, with both plans for small stores (KB Toys) and large stores that are the same size as Toys "R" Us (KB Experience).

I'll believe it when I see it. It's like the old plans from years ago for Circuit City to come back as RadioShack that never materialized into anything.

Strategic Marks did sign a deal with Simon Property Group to locate KB Toys within their shopping malls.

If the new KB Toys stores are only temporary holiday pop-up stores with no intent on staying open, I hope Canada's Mastermind Toys stores or Ireland's Smyth's Toy Superstores start opening in the United States. If the German no-frills supermarket ALDI and Swedish upscale furniture store IKEA can expand globally, why not these guys?

Instead of petitioning, some people should actually do something about it, and open their own toy store, provided they have the money to start one up and buy the real estate, etc.

There are plenty of local toy stores that have been founded by many different people, granted they aren't the same types of toys that Toys "R" Us carries.

Temporary pop-up toys stores such as KB and Toy City are just a band-aid used to fix the problems toy makers Mattel and Hasbro are faced with here in the United States.

Some of Toys "R" Us' bankrupt stock was picked up by Walmart, Target, Ollie's and Barnes & Noble.
