Normally I wouldn't post about a station flipping to Christmas Music, but the station is playing it as new owners take over and launching a new format on 12/26.

Bold Broadcasting purchased WELJ 104.7 Montauck, Long Island for $197,000 from the Jolee Radio Trust. They took over and replaced the NASH ICON format with Christmas Music which will last until 12 Noon on 12/26.

The new owners are 20 year old College kids. The new format is Easy Favorites.

I was shocked too when I read the article online in NewsDay when it said how old they were. That being said however one of they boy's father is an engineer for Cumulus Media the 3rd or 4th largest owner of Radio Stations in the Country. Cumulus had been the owner of this station.

Well, we are talking about 20 year olds on Long Island (and specifically mentioned the Hamptons) so it might not be quite as hard to find college students there with an extra $200,000 hanging around...
