The Boston Globe had a write-up about WJIB AM 740 in Cambridge, Mass. The 250 watt station plays Standards, Big Band, and Swing Music. It's 100% listener supported.

Very cool!  That looks like a true labor of love to him.

My dad would certainly listen to this station.  He is still bemoaning the loss of WJAS here when
it flipped to talk months ago.

For many years we had a Big Band station here in Pittsburgh on FM.  WNUF-FM 100.7.   It was owned
by a Milton Hammond, who also owned a local ad-driven newspaper called The Green Sheet.  Legend
was that in the days before iPods and CD players he wanted to be able to listen to his favorite music
on the golf course.  So he bought a radio station.  Today it is owned by CBS and is WBZZ.

When I lived in Flint WFDF was playing Big Band and Standards.  This would have been around 1990.
They since moved to Detroit, became Radio Disney and are now airing religious programming.
