Northtown Plaza in Amherst, NY used to have a mall that is now offices and an Olan Mills photo studio used to be there. The Plaza/Mall opened in 1951. I think the mall which was called "Century Mall" came first since there was a Hens and Kelly/AM&A's/Bon Ton that was in that mall/plaza for many year until it closed in 2008.
I could think of some other noteworthy tenants that were or are there.

Current tenants

. Eire Count DMV office (they used to be in the former mall portion before moving next door to Taste of India)
. Taste of India (a really good Indian food restaurant! Next to the DMV)
. Carolina Furniture (former Kids "R" Us store)
. Plato's Closet
. First Niagara Bank (former HSBC Bank, it might have been Marine Midland before it became HSBC ???)
. Payless Shoe Source
. Shopper's Choice (this store has been in the plaza forever!)
. My Tomato Pie
. My Burger Bar

Thought I would dig this up because the plaza is now about 99% empty. They just tore down the old Bon Ton building (which was used as a Halloween haunted house for years. That moved to an abandoned BJ's) and built a Whole Foods. The plaza got bought by a new investment company who gave the tenants opportunity to leave. Supposedly there are some high end shops moving to the plaza in the future.
Bed Bath and Beyond grunt.

An abandoned BJ's? Really? Did they relocate elsewhere or did they just close. You really don't hear about abandoned BJ's stores.

I think they relocated. Frightworld's billboard says that they are located in an abandoned BJ's in North Tonawanda, NY, which is not real familiar to me.

EDIT: 800 Young Street in NT takes you to the Youngmann Plaza, which does indeed have an abandoned BJ's in the back. I think they moved.

EDIT X2: Newspaper says this was a BJ's warehouse, not a wholesale club.
