Except for McDonald's the entire former Bristol Centre Mall property has been cleared. The property now known as Depot Square will be redeveloped by a Long Island based group called "Renaissance".

The project will be built in phases and ultimately will take 8-10 years to complete. Plans include: retail space, office space, a boutique hotel, restaurants, apartments, and a parking garage. A new McDoanld's will be built on the site of the former Discount Food Outlet Store later this year. Construction will begin on the Main Street/Riverside Avenue side in 2013 where McDoanld's currently stands.

There is also rumors that the Dunkin Donuts next to the former Discount Food Outlet will be moving further up North Main Street and that property will eventually be sold to Renaissance and demolished.

Nothing left on the property except the McDonald's. They were supposed to start building the new McDonald's around Labor Day 2012, but that hasn't happened yet. The City of Bristol told them they have to start building by 2015.
