the very small one in plaistow nh on the stateline plaza clsoed this spring and there is a bigger oen up the road. it closed to make way for shaw's which will move into that space and other space in the plaza. but they could have expanded their store to block shaw's, but the plaza did not renew the store.

I didn't knew the story behind that store closing...  Shaw's will get a prime location with that move.  I thought that Market Basket decided to close one since there was two stores not far from each other.  Seabrook also has two MB close from each other..

The one at the Seabrook Southgate Plaza now has a smaller sign, the old one was quite large!

I was looking at a local website online which contains copies of old local newspapers and came across these pics from the Gouverneur Tribune-Press newspaper.  There was a Market Basket on East Main Street in Downtown Gouverneur which opened in September 1950.  I don't know when but this store eventually changed over to Acme, which was Market Basket's parent company.  The store only measured about 6,000 square feet and a new Acme was planned just down the street in 1964 but was never built.  The Gouverneur store eventually closed in September 1971.  The building was occupied in the early 70's by a couple of discount stores before becoming a mini mall in 1977, which is still open today.  The first pic here is of the store when it first opened in 1950.  The second is the store when it closed in 1971.

Store 34 is the small Concord Store on Storrs St, not the big one on Fort Eddy Rd.
Store 35 is the big Concord NH store on Fort Eddy Road
Store 30 is the Seabrook Southgate store
Store 41 is the smaller Seabrook Store in Seabrook Plaza
Store 55 is the Warner store, not Portsmouth (Rt. 1)
Store 56 is the Portsmouth, Rt 1 store, not Warner

also there is now a store 60 which is in Reading, MA

This is what one of the two in Salem NH looks like. IT is the only store in the chain left still named Demoulas

IT is store #6. a website said it is 49,127 square feet and another, no longer around, said it was built in 1964.

Here is that same store in July 2009:

Wow I can't believe there is still one solo DeMoulas left...
Market Basket is coming to Keene, New Hampshire as well.
They have begun to clear the land. A large barn and marshland were the only things that were there before

Market Basket just opened up in Oxford, MA.  By the sounds of it they are wreaking havoc on Shaws' and Price Chopper's customer base in Webster.

Just built one near me in Keene, NH.

Headed towards West Swanzey/Winchester
The former Circuit City was originally rumored to be the new location of Market Basket a few years back
But they built a new location on the outskirts of the city instead
