One more reason this board needs a new name: slow activity. We have gotten lots of new members in the past year, yet posting has been very slow. It seems like a dying board at times. Many posters seem to have a main interest.

zayre88: Zayre

caldor1999: Caldor

d_fife: Toys R Us

meganium: Toys R Us

HoJoFan206: Howard Johnson's

ShopKoFan: ShopKo

MikeRa: movie theaters

videogamer75: Acme

Acme Style: Acme

gu4ever: Grand Union

and so on...

gothicprincess: Bradlees and Zayre...yet I find myself mixed in with the other post topics as well...I don't think our personal preference makes much of a difference, since we do all post on different topics. Some of the posters know more about certain subjects, as well. And I'm really all about all kinds of retail, not just Bradlees and Zayre. It's all cool though, I think everyone here is wonderful and helpful.
Jaime...BRADLEES FOREVER!!!

I forgot Marc82/Marc B (Wal-Mart) and NJxxJon (CVS)!

Caldor1999

i really don't think a name change is needed all everything has its own section like closed chains or supermarkets or dept store bashing ect things like that also a lot has gone into this sight that has to do with ames just look at ALLLLL the pictures on the store locater.

i mean yeah im a caldor person i added alot to the caldor thread but i wouldn't want the name to change from something else i feel that everything on here has its own order and doesn't need to be changed. as a said before i may be a caldor person but i to liked ames and i have also helped contribute to this sight with pictures of two locations near me.
Caldor Forever!

We since I live in Georgia I dont think calling it New England or Philadelphia is a good idea, and the rest of the choices make no sense. Ames fan club is a good name as any to me.

yea i think DMX 10101 is right on that it should stay

I loved Ames, so I agree a new name would have to relate to "classic" retail.

I think people do loose interest. I mean, really a member can only tell about their personal experience with dead retail, maybe share a few pictures, and that's it.

I've learned a lot of interesting stuff here, but I think just about all of the ground has been covered. Which is probably why the activity has slowed so much in the past few years.
