I worked in the home office in Rocky Hill CT.  Things were going good unil Rolando DeAguire came along, the new CFO of the company.  That moron turned the place upsidedown.  The company was doing good and was a 2 Billion dollar company.  He decided to buy the failing Hills chain.  Management told him it wasn't a good idea because they tried that once before and went into chapter 11 after buying another failing chain so lets not do it again.  He did it anyway and then outsourced a ton of jobs to IBM which cost milions more than keeping the employees in house.  He put the company in over its head and the rest is history.  That guy single handedly put 22 thousand people out of work.  He didn't worry about it because he had a contract and was getting millions a year until the final door was closed.  Years after the last employee left, good ol Rolando was still working on selling off properties and anything Ames owned.  Until the final door closed, he collected millions of dollars.  That guy should be in jail.  For any of you who don't know the real story, thats what happened.
