the stores logo has been takeing off but the hallway en still has the logo on it an dit still lights upto i wana pay a viset hear soemtime

UPDATE: The Middletown, New York location still exsists(not open though..doh!). The outer sign by the road is still up, as well as the interior hallway sign. But, the building sign has vanished. Pictures will follow!!

the inside of that Caldor is so well perserved lol and the few lights that are on in the store have a great refection with the tikes on the flor ginveing that store a light orageley glow verey GREAT PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Newington Fair Plaza is getting a extreme makeover. The onwers of the property have a few things for the plaza. Check out www.chartweb.com, for more details. Look like the old Caldor will be divided into 3 store (Linens & Things, Asheley Furniture, and LA fitness.

In response to 76Braldor's question, "What happens to a store when it gets subdivided?", I think I might be able to give a very basic answer. A grocery store in a plaza in my town moved down to the other end of the plaza since it needed to expand. So, the existing store was converted into a Ross and Staples. Basically a wall was put up between the two stores in the space (I guess) and some interior and exterior renovation was done. Today the two stores look as if they were built brand new. I guess that's pretty much how subdivision goes!

You may not be correct on Sam's Club moving. Look on the website, a big Sam's Club logo is on the site plan. Maybe they are building from the ground up next to Stickey & Audi. If you know any more on Newington Fair, let me know.

Hey Newington Ames, About the Sam's Club, its wierd, lol. Orginally what the people over at Tyos R Us was told is that Sam's club was suppose to move into Caldor and they wanted to make it bigger, but couldnt or something. I did a little investigation on the net and found the land lords website and saw that Sam's is building a new building in the back. Everyone is a little consude, the property inst that big, but they must have anayled it, so thats whats up. Really everyone at Toys R Us and myself are confuse as to whats going on. I am going to find out more, i think i am going to start to going to the town hall meetings for the town and zoning stuff, to see whats really going on, i will kepp you posted.

I just went on chartweb.com, and I think Linens 'n' Things is 'out' for the plaza. It has been replaced by 'Propsed Anchor'. I hope not. I went to one of their stores, and it seems nice.

i just wish kohls dident  gobble them up after they closed:mad:

thats what they did to my caldor it sat vacant fopr a few mounths and kohls complety gutted it :mad: a vrey sad sight not to mention when they tore down the front of the store they took of this wall and i saw the old caldor logo on it lol it was the plane orange logo they used in the 1980's
