I got word not too long ago from a contact within Charter Realty & Development that he had sold the store to the Ocean State Jobbers.  Although this is yet another store to be converted to a Job Lot, he has done us a really big favor, and they are sparing this sign for us!

I deliver to the strip mall where the Chicopee Ames is located. Two things:

Last week, May 10 was the grand opening of the new Ocean State Joblot in this store.

Also, I don't know what happened since you took your pictures, but the rear of this store is no longer clean, in fact I have to be extremely careful when driving my truck back there as I never know what I will find.

Had I known of this site earlier than now, I would have let you know that the conversion was going on, you could have scored alot of Ames items as they gutted the store.

Actually, I did take a few pictures when I drove up there about two weeks ago, I never did post them.  Here they are!

The Ocean State Job Lot has been doing a booming business since they opened here and they have also cleaned up the area around the store.
In addition in the back there are several caldor and Bradlees shoopping carts./

I went by this ames recently and saw that it is now ocean state job lots and they lettering around it is white and they repainted the green.
