These two pictures are the super WalMart stores in Cobleskill (Route 7) and Oneonta (Route 23).

They are both older stores (compared to any of the Albany area ones), and (I believe) were built as SuperCenters.  They are apparently from about the same time as they look quite similar, and both have McDonalds inside (although both area also have regular MCDonalds not that far away).

Hard to tell if those were built as supercenters or not. Usually only the converted stores have those funny trapezoid things (the thing where the mcdonalds logo is on in the picture)

Oneontas indeed was always a Supercenter.

the wal-mart in oneonta is store number 2262 meaning it must have opened in like 1995 and the one in cobelskill is store number 2135. I am guessing those opening dates because the one in bedford nh is store number 2246 and I remember it opening in early 1995.

I just wanted to point this out, even if its small:

I went to the Newington Wal-Mart, and they painted all there walls a weird brown. All of the department signs are down except for the front (Subway, Vision Center, etc).

Today, the store seemed very dark (looked as if the store was on low power), weird with blank brown walls, and the store was quieter today.

Is this new color scheme happening in other Wal-Mart stores?

Sure it wasn't some sort of Primer??
